AV Options Introduces New AVO Interconnect Cable Lineup

designed with Naim in mind but compatible with all brands

Portland, OR - January 8, 2024 AV Options recently introduced its new interconnect cable lineup, which benefits from years of experience working with Naim Audio and exhaustive testing using Naim Audio Systems reference kit. AVO claims its interconnect cables offer a significant performance improvement for all eras of Naim gear, as well as being an excellent value/performance option for all other audio brands.

The SIGNAL range interconnect cables are designed for use with Naim Audio equipment, and are a significant upgrade to any Naim Audio system. They include RCA, DIN4, DIN5 and XLR termination options in a variety of lengths. The RCA-RCA and XLR-XLR versions also work well with all other audio brands.

The new lineup also includes DIGITAL75 digital interconnect cables terminated with either RCA or BNC plugs starting at $599.00 U.S. retail

AVO audio interconnect cable are:

* Created by hand in-house using a four-stage process.

* Made from the world's best Teflon-insulated UP-OCC (Ultra-Pure Ohno Continuous Cast) copper wire cores, and wrapped with high-conductivity copper shielding using a proprietary technique.

* Treated with our AVO Deep-Cryo cryogenic process.

* Tested in a Naim Audio Reference System.

The AVO interconnect cable line is now available for purchase on the updated AVO website

The new cable lineup joins AVO's award-winning AC products: SuperWiremold Deep-Cryo Power Strip, Tibia12 and TibiaPlus12 Deep-Cryo AC cables, and Hubbell Deep-Cryo AC outlets, all of which are available for direct-purchase on the website.

I think they've actually had these for a while, and finally added them to their website. There has been some discussion of them on the Naim community forums for a while. I have a top tier Naim Classics system, but plan to stand pat with what I have. Looks like the AV Options DIN-DIN ICs are about the same price as the Naim HiLine ICs I already have.

In any case AV Options are well known to the Naim community and do great stuff. Worth a look if you are considering cable upgrades.

Josquin - I went for the Ultimate upgrade on my beloved Naim NAIT 2 (Olive version - bought new back in the 90s) last year along with their TW-56 Deep-Cryo speaker cables and also bought a pair of ProAc Tab 10 Signature speakers. Chris West and the team at AV Options were a pleasure to work with, super responsive and they went way above and beyond. My highest recommendation!

My sources are a Rega Planar 8 with an Ortofon Black MM cartridge and a Naim NDX2 streamer/DAC. Wonderful system on all types of music. I just upgraded from a Naim HiLine cable (already had to repair it once due to the poorly designed plastic connector body - which Naim fixed in their SuperLumina cable lineup but never circled back to update the HiLine) to the AVO SIGNAL DIN5-5 cable and I must say it's a significant upgrade, WOW! Everything is much better - especially PRAT and a lower noise floor that allows more music to come thru.

Still breaking in but I cannot believe a cable change makes this much difference. DOUBLE WOW!

I'm happy with my two HiLine ICs (Superline/SCDR and NDX2/XPSDR + 252/SCDR/300DR) and OEM cables otherwise. I even had some WitchHat cables (speaker, Morgana DIN/XLR) and went back to the Naim OEM cables in the end. I have no doubt Chris' cables are top shelf, but I think the only change I plan to make anymore is to do something about a phonostage. I have two arms (one for mono, one for stereo) and am swapping cables into the Superline. A Boulder 1108 is on my short list for audition. Maybe a second pair of REL S/510 later.

Chris West is great. I got my Superline Z-Plug through him, as well as various power products.

Josquin, I had 3 Naim HiLine cables (two DIN5-5 and one 2RCA to DIN5) They all broke and two of them twice. I've talked with other Naim owners - looked at Forums and talked with Chris West at AV Options - the reality is the HiLine DIN connector has an almost 100% failure rate. So when AV Options soft launched their AVO SIGNAL cables Spring of 2023 I got one DIN5-5 and eventually as of a few weeks ago have replaced all three HiLines. Could not be happier! They are in whole other league over HiLines - significantly better in every single way plus the build quality is superb!

Over the Holiday break a friend brought over a well broken in Chord Music DIN5-5 cable and we did a shoot-out. The AVO SIGNAL DIN5-5 was decisively better than the Chord Music - which stunned both of us given how good Music is with Naim kit. I just checked and AV Options is running a 10% discount and free shipping on their Online Store at the moment - making them even more affordable. Given the Naim kit you own selling off the HiLines and buying AVO SIGNAL cables is a 100% all upside move. - Jim S.
